Joico Color Balance is a toning system that our colorists recommend for keeping color looking fresh between appointments. This collection includes the four Color Balance products we carry: Purple Shampoo, Purple Conditioner, Blue Shampoo and Blue Conditioner.
Purple or blue? Use Color Balance Purple if you are blonde, highlighted, grey or silver and you are seeing yellow tones. Use Color Balance Blue if you have brunette or darker lightened hair that is turning orange or brassy. The two colors work on different unwanted tones, so choosing the right one makes a big difference.
How to use them: shampoo with the toning shampoo, leave it on briefly, then rinse and follow with the matching conditioner. Start with a short contact time and lengthen it if you need more toning, especially on very light hair, which can pick up pigment quickly. Many clients alternate Color Balance with a regular color-safe shampoo and use the toning products once or twice a week.
